This course will explore the basics of writing in the English language. Once an adequate understanding has been reached, students will begin constructing essays in a variety of rhetorical modes. Students will then work on critically engaging various texts while applying skills that will be cultivated and sharpened throughout the year, which will allow students to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
